Comments: Kathy and Tara Darling, a mother and daughter naturalist team spent over two years diving and playing amidst the manatees of Florida. This book chronicles the life of our favorite vanishing species. Large color photographs and simple, informative text makes this book a joy to read. The section on the six senses (yes six!) of the manatee was one of my favorites. I really loved the funny picture of the manatee getting a belly scratch from a diver!!
